Living in Memphis, and with an upcoming trip to a volatile area of the world, I felt an urgency to know some practical self defense. I called and scheduled my first visit. It was everything I expected and more. I attended Krav Maga classes 3 times weekly, and each class taught different skills. The instructors are constantly monitoring the class, ensuring proper technique and safety, and giving feedback and encouragement.
There is a cardio kickboxing class immediately after the Krav Maga classes. It is more about improving fitness. Little time is wasted, as the Krav Maga class immediately preceding provides the warm-up. Every class was different, challenging, exhausting -and fun! I felt sore for days and loved it. I wish I had gone to this class as I went through my divorce. There is nothing like exhausting every last bit of your stress and energy kicking and punching the bags.
